Andy Sears

Andy has served as a successful development and educational leader and/or consultant for fifteen years. He is passionate about helping organizations grow into their vision through greater engagement and commitment from donors. Andy has experience and gifting in capital campaign leadership, major donor relationships, annual fund development, financial management, strategic planning, and leadership development.

Andy graduated from Grand Canyon University with a B.S. in Finance. He also earned an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from George Fox University. Prior to his consulting work, Andy served as the President of Westside Christian High School in Tigard, Oregon.  During his tenure there he served a team of over thirty staff, led a capital campaign, and directed a strategic initiative to develop a new school campus. Prior to starting Contour Strategies Andy was the Chief Consulting Officer for a national nonprofit consulting firm. Andy has served on the board of Northwest Christian Community Foundation and currently plays an instrumental role on the board of Grace Ministries in Northeast Thailand.


Bill Hautt

Bill has always had a keen passion for helping non-profit organizations craft successful fundraising campaigns, and throughout his career has served alongside many non-profit executives as they strive to fund their vision. He is widely respected for his ability to train executives and advancement teams in effective principles and techniques to engage and mobilize donors while keeping a campaign moving towards its goal.

Bill earned his Master’s degree from Northwestern University and his Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Columbia University. He has partnered with numerous non-profits over the years, including serving as a Chief Development Officer for Young Life and fundraising consultant for such organizations as InterVarsity, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, The Stony Brook School, and YWAM. 


Deb Givens
Lead Strategist
Portland, Oregon

Deb’s career path has allowed her ample opportunity to fine-tune her skills in planning, research, development, marketing, and writing. She has experience assisting with the strategic planning, promotions and communication efforts, and/or the tactical execution of successful fundraising campaigns. Deb was the marketing and development director for Westside Christian High School during their successful campaign for a new campus. Additionally, she has served as Marketing Director for several large organizations in Oregon.

Deb earned a triple major as an undergraduate at Willamette University, then went on to receive a Masters degree from the University of Hawaii while serving concurrently as an international research scholar for the East West Center. She was subsequently selected to serve as a Rotary Scholar while earning a second Masters degree at the University of Sussex in England. In her spare time she pursues outdoor adventures and can frequently be found on a bike, hike, walking the streets of Portland, or enjoying kayaking adventures in the San Juan Islands.


Joy Dickinson
Associate Strategist and Grant Writer
Salem, Oregon


Joy’s professional experience clearly demonstrates her passion for guiding nonprofits to organizational health and financial sustainability. Over the past fifteen years, she has assisted a wide array of organizations such as Boys and Girls Club, Youth for Christ, and Volunteers of America. Joy is widely respected for her ability to craft successful foundation grant proposals, develop comprehensive strategic plans, and oversee systematic program evaluations.

Joy earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from California State University, Sacramento and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Joy has extensive experience with grant writing. Prior to her consulting work she was the Grants and Contracts Officer at CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse). During her time at CORA, the agency ranked #1 in the number of successful foundation grant awards out of 200 related nonprofit organizations in California.


Sierra Neiman Westbrook

Prior to joining the Contour Strategies team, Sierra served in a variety of roles at Barclay Press: Administrative Assistant, Director of Marketing and Publicity, and Lead Editor. She has also worked as Writing Consultant and Interim Project Manager at George Fox University. Currently, Sierra divides her work time between serving as Executive Assistant for Contour Strategies, teaching as an Adjunct Professor at George Fox University’s College of Christian Studies, and providing spiritual direction through Eden Spiritual Care.

Sierra graduated from George Fox University with a B.A. in Business Administration and from George Fox Evangelical Seminary (now Portland Seminary) with a Master of Divinity degree. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, hiking, snapping photos, and discovering new restaurants with her husband, Justin.
